Day 1        Depart Canada
Fly to Edinburgh.

Day 2        Welcome to Edinburgh
Upon arrival in Edinburgh, transfer to your hotel and check in.

Day 3        Edinburgh: Sightseeing
Castles and whisky today! Take advantage of your Edinburgh Castle entrance, then continue to The Scotch Whisky Experience.

Wander through ancient buildings, take in marvellous views and immerse yourself in the country's fascinating history. Day 4        Edinburgh: St. Andrews Excursion (approx. 163 km)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then meet up with a guide for full-day excursion to St. Andrews.

  • St. Andrews Excursion: Journey over the the iconic Forth Bridge into the ancient Kingdom of Fife. Stop for a photo op in Aberdour before continuing into the East Neuk of Fife. Stop in Anstruther, home of the Scottish Fisheries Museum, then pass through Pittenweem, Crail and St. Monans, en route to the beautiful medieval town of St. Andrews, home to the oldest university in Scotland, a famous cathedral and a golf course. Your return route takes you across the Lomond hills to Falkland, the setting for 1960s Inverness in the Outlander series, for a photo stop. Continue to Loch Leven, the scene of Mary, Queen of Scots' imprisonment and escape and on to the picturesque village of South Queensferry for a final stop before returning to Edinburgh.

Day 5        Edinburgh - Glasgow (approx. 74 km)
After breakfast, make your way to the railway station and hop on board for Glasgow. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Explore Glasgow aboard an open-top double-decker bus.

Day 7        Glasgow: Oban Excursion (approx. 292 km)
Enjoy a full-day adventure to Oban, stopping in picturesque towns and enjoying stunning scenery along the way.

  • Oban Excursion: Cross the Firth of Clyde, past Dumbarton's rock fortress and castle. Stop in Inveraray, a quaint town built in the mid-18th century on the shores of Loch Fyne. If you like, visit Inveraray Castle ($), or explore the town's white-washed Georgian houses, wide streets and breathtaking views across the loch. Continue north into the Highlands through stunning scenery, passing Kilchurn Castle, one of Scotland's most photographed castles. Next, stop for lunch ($) and some free time in the picturesque harbour town of Oban. Explore its horseshoe-shaped bay and see McCaig's Tower. Travel onwards past Castle Stalker before reaching Glencoe, one of Scotland's most haunting glens and site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan. Return via Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Luss, a pretty village on the banks of Loch Lomond. Walk along the shore or explore the quaint village. Return to Glasgow.
