Days 2 & 3        Halifax

Right on the Atlantic, Halifax has had a long history with the sea. Boisterous, fun loving, creative and inspiring, there isn't much you can't do here. Your package includes a one-hour Harbour Hopper Tour, a fully narrated tour on board an amphibious vehicle. Learn some history and some fun facts as you visit the harbour, St. Paul's Church, Citadel Hill and the Public Gardens. Then take to the water for some old salt yarns. Outside Halifax, you're in the heart of the Maritimes. Head to famous Peggy's Cove for picture-perfect villages and the iconic lighthouse. And the Bay of Fundy is not far either. Be there at the right time and you can watch the world's highest tides come rushing in. And of course, you have to try a Halifax lobster roll. It's a delicious tradition.

Day 4           The Ocean by Via Rail
Board the noon departure of The Ocean by Via Rail train for an overnight trip (22 hours).

Note: We strongly recommend that passengers travelling in Sleeper Plus Class to check in at the VIA ticket counter at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Meal(s): Lunch and dinner

Days 5 - 7       Montreal
Montreal is an exciting international melting pot of language, art, culture and cuisine. Poutine is a must. Try it plain, with smoked meat or any number of recent creations. Just make sure it's made with cheese curds.

Your package includes the North Montreal Bike Tour, ride through hip neighbourhoods, beautiful parks and hidden alleyways. A great tour to grasp how locals live and why they love this city so much. Visit the diverse Plateau Mont-Royal, artsy Mile-End, leafy Outremont, traditional Little Italy and edgy Mile-Ex. This tour includes a visit to North America's largest open-air farmer's market- Jean Talon.

You can also take a cruise from the charming Old Port, or a bus tour of the city's famous landmarks, or even spend an afternoon at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.  It's an impressive collection.

Meal(s): Breakfast on Day 5

Day 8           Fly home
Make your way to the airport to board your flight home.
