Suggested Itinerary

The day-to-day locations are already set and hotel accommodations will already be booked, but what you do during the day in each town or city is completely up to you. Below is a suggested itinerary of things to do and see so you can get the most out of your adventure. The beauty of this trip is that you can explore the country the way you want to. Just make sure to get to the hotel on time!

Day 1        Welcome to Montreal
Taking possession of the rental vehicle at the airport and make your way to your downtown hotel.

Day 2        Montreal
The great metropolis and economic capital of Quebec, do not miss the unique panorama of the city from the Mount Royal Lookout and so enjoy the view of  heart of the city. Explore the various parks and neighbourhoods as well as the many museums at your own pace. The Biodôme will transport you to several types of climates and the Old Port will bring  you back in time.

Day 3        Montreal - Mont-Tremblant (143 km)
Leave Montreal and drive into the Laurentian touristic region of  Quebec. Discover the picturesque charm of the village of Mont-Tremblant, its shops and restaurants. Mont-Tremblant Park is the largest national park in Quebec.

Day 4        Mont-Tremblant
Free day to enjoy the various activities available to you in the region. Why not hike the mountain, enjoy a bite at the top before returning to the village on a relaxing gondola ride.

Day 5        Mont-Tremblant - Mauricie (183 km)
En route to the next touristic region on your itinerary,  Mauricie region is a large territory dotted with picturesque lakes and forests, hills, streams and waterfalls. Your resort is located in the heart of nature. Several wildlife viewing activities are offered on site ($).

Day 6         Mauricie
Free day to enjoy the various activities available to you on the site and in the region.

Day 7        Mauricie - Quebec City (215 km)
Continue to Quebec City, cradle of French civilization in North America and the only fortified city north of Mexico City. Because Old Quebec is a privileged place with worldwide interest, Quebec City was the first North American city to be listed on UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List.

Day 8        Quebec City
Explore the old capital and discover countless treasures: Place Royale and Quartier Petit Champlain, take the Governor's Walk on Dufferin Terrace and Château Frontenac, walk on the ramparts of the old town. City of history and memory, its rich architectural heritage and the beauty of its location will dazzle you.

Day 9        Quebec City - Tadoussac (240 km)
Today, head for Tadoussac, the oldest village in Canada, internationally recognized as a whale watching site. The St. Lawrence estuary is the privileged place where several species of cetaceans come to cross off the coast in the summer.

Day 10         Tadoussac
Day for a whale-watching cruise (included) and enjoy the jewels of the region.
Day 11        Tadoussac - Quebec City (215 km)
Road to Quebec via the beautiful region of Charlevoix. Overnight in the heart of Old Quebec.

Day 12        Quebec City - Montreal (276 km)
Head back to Montreal for your return flight home.

Car Rental

Inclusions:  Intermediate Category C (4 Door). Time (24 hrs basis), Unlimited kilometres, Loss damage waiver (LDW), CAD $1Million third party liability insurance coverage, One (1) additional driver, Provincial & other taxes, GPS, Airport contract fees and Air conditioning on all vehicles equipped with air conditioning.

Exclusions: Fuel; Personal accident insurance plus (PAI Plus) & Personal effects protection (PEP); Other optional services such as refueling charges, applicable one-way service fees ( approx. $200 + applicable taxes, depending on distance from origin and drop-off), extra additional driver's fee, baby seats, ski racks, etc.; Province of Quebec tire fee - applicable year-round: $3.99 per day + applicable taxes and fees; Additional driver fee is CA$10.00 per day per additional driver up to a max of CA$50.00 per rental, per driver, where applicable; All rates are subject to change without notice and are payable at rental counter. Anything not specifically noted above. Driver credit card required to collect rental car.

Minimum age for car rental is 21 with a prepaid voucher. A valid driver's license from country of origin must be presented at time of rental. All drivers under the age of 25 will be subject to a surcharge of CA$25.00 per day; subject to change. Certain car classes may not be available to drivers under age 25.
