Day 2        Welcome to Rome: Sightseeing
Upon arrival in Rome, take a private transfer to your hotel and check in. The afternoon is yours to explore the city.

  • Walking Tour with Aperitif & Tapas: At 6:00 p.m., meet your local expert at Piazza di Spagna for a guided visit that will feature the Spanish steps, the famous Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Your visit concludes at the Piazza Navona, and nearby you'll have the chance to taste a real Italian aperitif with Italian tapas!

Day 3        Rome: At leisure & Cooking class
Enjoy the day at leisure. Tonight, live a true Roman experience at your pasta-making class.

  • Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class: Led by a professional English-speaking chef, the cooking class will be held in an elegant gourmet restaurant, a few steps from Piazza Navona. Don aprons and get to work making pasta from scratch: mixing dough, shaping it, then cooking it and adding meat, vegetables and sauces. You'll also learn to make tiramisu, Italy's most beloved dessert. Once ready, settle in and enjoy your creation, accompanied by wine.

Day 4        Rome: Sightseeing & Tastings

Today, combine your love for coffee and gelato with your passion for Rome.

Make your way to the historic Campo de' Fiori and meet your expert guide for an unforgettable foodie walking tour.

  • Foodie Walking Tour: Sample local products, including some tasty prosciutto, delicious cheeses, truffle tartines, seasonal fruit and other fresh goods. Wash it down with some of the region's celebrated wines. Continue in your small group to the Jewish Ghetto, the site of the ancient Theatre of Pompey. Visit several Roman ruins and historic buildings, including the Great Synagogue of Rome. Sample one of the best pizzas in the city, along with delicacies such as zucchini flowers and suppli, a rice ball typically prepared with tomatoes and mozzarella. Conclude your tour at the spot where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Taste some of Rome's best gelato at a family-run gelateria. Your knowledgeable guide will be happy to provide advice and suggestions for additional things to see and do.

After a day at leisure, enjoy a great foodie experience in the evening.

  • Traditional Dinner Experience: An intimate dinner hosted by an esteemed English-speaking host lets you indulge in some of Rome's most distinctive flavours. Join a small group and gather at a sophisticated restaurant just steps from Piazza Navona to savour a 4-course meal of traditional seasonal preparations with paired wines. You'll meet your host chef and settle into your reserved table. For the next 2 hours, you'll be served a series of delicious regional specialties, including antipasti, primi, secondi, and desserts, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. With each course, enjoy fine wine from regions like Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria and Abruzzo. Best of all, learn about local culinary and winemaking traditions from your host.

Days 7 & 8        Rome: At Leisure

Spend two days exploring The Eternal City to your heart's content. If you like, delve into Rome's fascinating history with visits to the Colosseum and Roman Forum ($), check out chic boutiques and popular shops, or continue tasting your way through the city and try out some of the city's hottest restaurants. In the evening, lose yourself in Rome's vibrant nightlife, with clubs, wine and cocktail bars galore.

Day 9        Rome - Return to Canada
After breakfast, take a private transfer to the airport and board your flight home.
