WHAT TO EATOrganic food at café/art gallery/music venue The Art We Are, locally grown produce from the Kamloops Farmers’ Market and local ingredients-based dishes at the award-winning Terra Restaurant.
WHAT TO BRING BACKCraft beers from breweries like The Noble Pig Brewhouse or Red Collar Brewing Co., unique crafts and gifts from the Gallery Store of the Kamloops Art Gallery and your golf tee from hitting a hole-in-one at the many golf courses.
FUN FACT“HANDS UP!” yells the robber before claiming his plunder, or so you’ve heard in stories. The expression was supposedly coined by bandit Bill Miner (aka The Grey Fox), the man who committed Canada’s first train robbery near Kamloops. The Kamloops Heritage Railway stages re-enactments of the famous crime and there’s a mural depicting it outside Cactus Jack’s nightclub.
