Wlecome to Athens

Upon arrival in Athens, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to begin exploring the capital of Greece.

Day 3

Athens: Sightseeing

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of the city, including a visit to the Acropolis. Then spend the rest of the afternoon discovering Athens at your own pace. 

More Moments Activity Included

  • The Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum: Follow your expert guides as they take you for a quick stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. From here, you’ll continue on and pass by the Temple of the Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Next up is a comprehensive visit of the Acropolis to see architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the impressive Parthenon. End the tour with visit of the New Acropolis Museum.

Day 4

Athens: At Leisure

Take your time getting to know the city. Stroll through the vibrant neighbourhoods of Monastiraki and the Plaka, sample delectable Greek cuisine at one of the countless quaint tavernas and cafés, or hit the shops on Ermou and Kolonaki streets.

Day 5

Athens - Classical Greece Tour: Corinth Canal - Epidaurus - Nafplio - Mycenae - Olympia (approx. 265 km)

In the morning, embark on your four-day Classical Greece tour. Head out towards Olympia, with a stop at the Corinth Canal, then continue to Epidaurus with its fourth-century-BC theatre. Next up is the modern seaside resort and old town of Nafplio. End the day with a visit to the archeological site of Mycenae, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets. Continue to Olympia for the night.

Day 6

Classical Greece Tour: Olympia - Delphi (approx. 240 km)

After breakfast, visit Ancient Olympia, the site of the Ancient Olympic Games. Visit the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and the Archaeological Museum of Olympia ($). Continue towards Delphi, passing through the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos and Itea.

Day 7

Classical Greece Tour: Delphi - Kalambaka (approx. 228 km)

Enjoy a guided tour of Delphi. Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi is the home of the sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians and the Delphi Museum. After your tour, depart for Kalambaka. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 8

Classical Greece Tour: Kalambaka - Meteora Monasteries - Athens (approx. 354 km)

Visit the breathtaking monasteries of Meteora. Perched on huge granite rocks, the monasteries seem to be suspended between earth and sky, providing a magnificent view. Each monastery contains priceless historical and religious treasures. Next, travel towards Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae where a stop will be made to visit the memorial of Leonidas and the brave 300 Spartans. Return to Athens for the night.

Day 9

Athens - Mykonos

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and, at the indicated time, transfer to the Athens port for your fast ferry to Mykonos. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the afternoon discovering the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos.

Days 10 & 11

Mykonos: At Leisure

Enjoy two full days at leisure on this popular island, known as an international hotspot for jetsetters.

From the moment you arrive on Mykonos, you'll feel right at home among the iconic white houses, windmills and chapels, plus spectacular beaches and great shops. Explore the town's winding narrow streets, visit the Church of Panagia Paraportiani or enjoy a drink at Little Venice. In the evening, head out to one of the island's lively bars and clubs.

Day 12

Mykonos - Athens - Return to Canada

After breakfast, transfer to the Mykonos airport for your local flight to Athens and board your flight home
