Welcome to Athens

Upon arrival in Athens, check into your hotel. Head out and begin to explore this incredible city at leisure.

The vibrant capital of Greece has plenty to offer, from historic landmarks to trendy rooftop terraces. High-end shoppers should head to Ermou and Kolonaki streets, and bargain hunters will enjoy the lively Monastiraki flea market. Hike up Lycabettus Hill for incredible views of Athens, or choose to sit back and relax at one of the many restaurants and bars in the Plaka that serve up delicious local food and drink.

Day 3

Athens: Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore ancient sites on a half-day sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. 

Activity Included

  • The Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum: Expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896 (short stop). Then it’s on to see the Temple of the Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Continue on to visit the magnificent Acropolis to admire architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the awe-inspiring Parthenon. Last stop is the New Acropolis Museum, a must-see in Athens and voted by the Sunday Times as the 3rd best museum of the world.

Athens: At Leisure

Continue exploring the city at your own pace.

Athens - Santorini

After breakfast, transfer to the port of Athens for your fast ferry to Santorini, then transfer to your hotel. Begin to explore Santorini at your leisure.

Santorini: At Leisure

Take the next two days to explore this magnificent Cyclades island at your own pace. Lose yourself on volcanic Santorini and take in the island's romance and charm.

What most picture when they think of Greece, from the moment you arrive in Santorini, you’ll be swept away by the beauty of this volcanic island. Stroll the streets lined with iconic white and blue houses, or visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thera in Fira ($), which hosts artifacts from the sites of Akrotiri and Ancient Thira. Adventurers should consider a visit to the small island of Nea Kameni, to admire the rocky red and black landscape, and take in the best views of the caldera. Speaking of best views, Oia is known as the most photographed spot in Greece and is renowned for its view and unbelievable sunsets.

Santorini - Crete

Transfer to the port for your hydrofoil to Crete, then transfer to your hotel. Begin exploring Greece’s largest island known for important archaeological sites, beautiful beaches and enchanting villages.

Take advantage of two entire days to explore the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands.

Check out Mandraki harbour (the old port), then head to the Old Town for a stroll down cobblestone streets and get a glimpse of perfectly preserved history as you see the impressive Palace of the Grand Masters and the medieval Street of the Knights. After soaking up all the history, don’t forget Rhodes has incredibly beautiful beaches, as well as Kallithea (known for its thermal springs), for those looking for a bit of down time.
