Budapest: At leisure
Enjoy the day at your own pace in Budapest. Stroll along the Danube and take in the views, sample mouth-watering goulash or strudel, or soak in nurturing thermal baths ($).

Budapest - Brasov (approx. 172 km)
After breakfast, explore Budapest at your leisure. In the evening, make your way to the train station to board your night train to Brasov, the land of Dracula! Brasov is one of Transylvania's major cities and a popular spot in Romania.

Day 6
Brasov: Sightseeing
Arrive in the morning at the Brasov train station and meet your local guide for a three-hour city tour. Your tour concludes at your hotel, where you can check in and spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Brasov's narrow streets; the city even boasts one of the narrowest streets in Europe, Strada Sforii, at four feet wide!

Day 7
Brașov: Castles in Transylvania Excursion - Bucharest (approx. 194 km)
Depart for a full-day excursion to visit incredible castles along the Rucăr-Bran Pass, then take a private transfer to the Sinaia railway station for your train to Bucharest. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel to check in.

Castles in Transylvania Excursion: Travel on the Rucăr-Bran Pass, the medieval route connecting Transylvania to Wallachia. Visit Bran Castle, perched atop a 200-foot-high rock and known as Dracula's home, one of the most famous castles in Romania and very popular in vampire lore. Continue to Rasnov fortress, originally designed as a place of refuge. The defensive system included nine towers, two bastions and a drawbridge. Rasnov fortress also houses a museum here, hidden behind the ancient walls, where you can find a skeleton buried beneath a glass floor, as well as some other interesting artifacts. At Peles Castle, located in the picturesque town of Sinaia, marvel at the German new-Renaissance architecture, considered by many as one of the most stunning castles in Europe.
