Day 2

Welcome to Edinburgh

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in, then spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring Edinburgh.

Day 3

Edinburgh - Glasgow (approx. 130 km)

After your Scottish breakfast, take advantage of a panoramic tour of Edinburgh. Visit the Georgian New Town, medieval Old Town and Edinburgh Castle, perched on the top of the Royal Mile, towering over the city. The ramparts provide spectacular views on the Firth of Forth, the North Sea and the whole city. Enjoy free time in the afternoon, then depart for Glasgow, where you'll enjoy supper and spend the night.

Day 4

Glasgow: Arran Island (approx. 100 km)

In the morning, depart for Ardrossan, southwest of Glasgow, to take the ferry to Arran Island. Despite its small surface, the island features a wide variety of landscapes, which has earned in the nickname “Scotland in miniature.” Visit the superb Brodick Castle, former seat of the Dukes of Hamilton, then continue exploring this breathtaking island's coastline. Taste famous Cream Tea in one of the island's tea rooms. then take the return ferry to Ardrossan and head back to Glasgow.

Day 5

Glasgow - Argyll - Inveraray - Oban (approx. 262 km)

Transfer to downtown Glasgow, where you can admire St Mungo's Cathedral, the only cathedral on mainland Scotland to survive the Reformation intact, then stroll along the Loch Lomond, the largest lake in Scotland. Explore the picturesque village of Luss, situated along the lake, then continue to Inveraray, then along the spectacular Argyll peninsula, where you'll reach the Arduaine Garden. Continue to Oban, where you're free to explore before checking into your hotel for the night.

Day 6

Oban: Isle of Mull and Iona Abbey (approx. 230 km)

Take the ferry to the beautiful Isle of Mull. Visit the charming town of Tobermory, with its small coloured houses, boutiques, pubs and well-regarded arts centre. Continue towards Iona - walk across the bridge linking Mull and Iona, and visit the magnificent Iona Abbey, with architecture dating from the 13th to the 16th century. Return to your Oban hotel at the end of the day.

Day 7

Oban - Glencoe - Urquhart - Inverness (approx. 200 km)

Head out towards Glencoe, where you can explore the Glencoe Visitor Centre, which outlines the region's history through fascinating exhibits. Continue along the banks of the Loch Ness and enjoy a 1-hour cruise on the river, then visit the famous Urquhart Castle. Conclude your day in Inverness, the ancient capital of the Highlands. Eat dinner and spend the night in Inverness.

Day 8

Inverness - Pitlochry - Perth - Edinburgh (approx. 260 km)

Distillery visit today! Depart for the charming Highland town of Pitlochry to visit a whisky distillery and taste Scotland's national drink, and the country's first export. Continue to the beautiful region of Perthshire and stop at Scone Palace. En route to Edinburgh, travel over the suspension bridge at the Forth estuary. Enjoy free time for dinner, or take part in an optional Scottish evening (booked locally) ($).

Edinburgh - Return to Canada

After breakfast, take a private transfer to the airport and board your flight home.
