Day 2
Welcome to Rome: Guided Sightseeing
Upon arrival, take a private transfer to your hotel and check in. After settling in, set out on a panoramic tour and see the exterior of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Follow your guide on a walking tour of Baroque Rome, then skip-the-line at the Vatican Museums to see its wide variety of galleries, St. Peter’s Basilica and the magnificent Sistine Chapel.
Day 3
Rome: Frascati & Dinner Experience (approx. 40 km)
Spend the day discovering the Eternal City at your own pace. In the late afternoon, board a local train to Frascati. Explore this charming hillside town then enjoy dinner in a typical fraschetta, where you'll drink wine, eat delicious food and take in the informal, friendly atmosphere.

Day 4
Rome – Naples: Pompeii Guided Excursion – Sorrento Coast (approx. 277 km)
This morning, take your high-speed train to Naples in first class. From here, you’ll be transferred to Pompeii and take a guided excursion of this ancient Roman city, destroyed and buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Continue on to beautiful Sorrento, where your luggage will be waiting for you at your hotel.

Day 5
Sorrento Coast: Capri Guided Excursion & Tasting (approx. 50 km)
After breakfast, transfer with your guide to the harbour and board a ferry to the stunning isle of Capri. Arrive at the port of Marina Grande and explore the main sights. Later, take a minibus up to La Piazzetta. Return to Sorrento and taste limoncello, the liqueur made from fragrant lemons of the Sorrentine region.

Day 6
Sorrento Coast: At Leisure
Enjoy the day discovering Sorrento as you like. Start in Piazza Tasso and branch off from there to explore the maze of narrow streets, all while enjoying the distinctive scent of lemons from the trees scattered throughout the city.

Day 7
Sorrento Coast – Caserta – Apulian Countryside (Bari) (approx. 313 km)
After breakfast, take a private transfer (via Naples) to Caserta where a guided visit of the Royal Palace testifies to the unrestrained luxury in which the Bourbons lived, the last reigning royal family of the kingdom of Naples. It was the largest palace and one of the largest buildings built in Europe during the 18th century. Considered to be the Versailles of Italy, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The palace was used by different movie productions like Star Wars, Mission Impossible, Angels & Demons and Casino Royale. In the afternoon, board your high-speed train to Bari. Begin exploring this sparkling resort town and its lovely historic centre. Stroll the Bari Vecchia, the medieval heart of the city.

Apulian Countryside(Bari): Matera & Alberobello (approx. 187 km)
After breakfast, you’ll head west to the incredible town of Matera in Basilicata. Journey back in time as you visit the famous "Sassi" (cave dwellings), which are now a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Matera is said to be one of the world's oldest towns, but your first glimpse of the Sassi will leave a lasting impact. Haunting and beautiful, the Sassi sprawl below the rim of a yawning ravine like a giant nativity scene. Although many buildings are crumbling, others have been restored and transformed into cosy abodes, restaurants and cave hotels. After wandering the streets of the Sassi, enjoy a light lunch in Matera. Next stop will be in Alberobello, the only town in Puglia entirely built from the famous trulli, which are cone shaped stone houses. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an incredible place to explore on foot. Stroll through the small streets filled with dwellings and shops and visit the Trulli Church, a truly beautiful and unique building. After a memorable day, return to your hotel and overnight.

Apulian Countryside (Bari) – Rome (approx. 423 km)
This morning, take a private transfer to the railway station and board your high-speed train to Rome in first class. Spend the rest of the day exploring the ancient Rome at your own pace.
