Make your way to the railway station, to Cambridge, and then to your hotel. Spend the afternoon discovering this quaint university city.

Cambridge – Manchester (approx. 213 km)

Make your way to the railway station and use your BritRail pass to head to Manchester. On arrival, make your way to your hotel and check in. Explore this beautiful northern city. If you like, trace the city’s history by checking out the Castlefield conservation area, with its 18th-century canal system that recalls the city’s days as a textile powerhouse, as well as the interactive Museum of Science & Industry ($).

Manchester: At Leisure (or Liverpool)

Enjoy another day discovering Manchester. Worth seeing: the revitalized Salford Quays dockyards that now house the Daniel Libeskind-designed Imperial War Museum North ($) and the Lowry cultural centre ($). Or take advantage of your BritRail pass and head to Liverpool, the famous hometown of The Beatles.

Birmingham – Bath (approx. 126 km)

Today, hop on the train to Bath and make your way to your hotel to check in. Then, journey through time as you explore the only UK city designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site at your own pace – you’ll travel centuries in just a few steps! Visit the Roman Baths ($) dating back to AD43. Wander through the pages of one of Jane Austen’s classic novels as you stroll past mellow architectural masterpieces like the Royal Crescent and The Circus, or celebrate Bath's most famous resident at the Jane Austen Centre ($).

Unlimited travel from morning until night throughout England within its period of validity

Consecutive Pass – valid for a set number of days in a row.  For example, if you start using your 8-day pass on Monday, it will be valid until next Monday (included).

Allows you to explore by hopping on and off the trains as you wish (you can make as many journeys as you like in one day)
