Welcome to Lisbon
Upon arrival, meet your driver and head to your hotel to check in and start exploring.
Day 3
Lisbon – Sintra – Cabo da Roca – Cascais – Estoril – Lisbon (approx. 97 km)
After breakfast, pick up your BMW motorcycle and head to lovely Sintra. Drive up to the Pena Palace, with panoramic views extending from the botanical garden to the Tejo River and the Atlantic Ocean. Take the N247 road, and drive through the Natural Park of Sintra, stop at Cabo da Roca and ride by the coast to Cascais and Estoril. Return to Lisbon through the National Road N6. See the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries before returning to your hotel.

Day 4
Lisbon – Arrábida – Evora – Marvao (approx. 298 km)
After breakfast, leave Lisbon by crossing the astonishing 25th April Bridge over the Tejo river. Follow he N378 road to Sesimbra and take the N379 through Arrábida Mountain. Take a ferry from Setúbal to Troia crossing the Sado River. Stop at Évora, known as the museum-city, and ride to the medieval walled city of Marvao, set on a hill near the Spanish border and admire the views. Spend the night in Marvao.

Day 5
Marvao – Piodao – Viseu (approx. 278 km)
Leave Marvao and continue north through winding roads, visiting charming villages along the way. Stop at the historical village of Piodao and continue through the deep heart of Portugal to Viseu. Viseu is located in the centre of a demarcated wine region named after the river Dao.

Day 6
Viseu – Régua – Pinhao – Vila Real – Amarante (approx. 194 km)
Take the national road N2 to Peso da Régua. This road is the longest one and crosses Portugal from north to south. From Régua, ride the Portugal’s National Road 222, recognized as the World’s Best Driving Road. It connects Régua to Pinhao for 27 km, taking you through the heart of the Douro Valley. Stop at Pinhao, drive on to Vila Real and then head west to the town of Amarante on the Tamega River and settle in for the night.

Day 7
Amarante – Guimaraes – Ponte de Lima – Viana do Castelo – Porto (approx. 189 km)
After exploring Amarante, proceed to Guimaraes for a historical expedition of the Minho region. Drive to Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo to admire monuments, cathedrals, and landscapes. Lastly, drive along the coast to your destination, Porto.

Day 8
Porto – Aveiro – Coimbra – Nazaré (approx. 260 km)
After breakfast, spend some time visiting Porto, the second largest city of Portugal. Travel to Aveiro, the city of river canals, also known as the Venice of Portugal. Continue driving along the N235 to the Buçaco Forest, continuing south to Coimbra, pass by Batalha, home to the 15th-century Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria. Stay overnight in Nazaré or Obidos.

Day 9
Nazaré – Obidos – Lisbon (approx. 246 km)
Visit Nazaré, a picturesque fishing village. Drive up to the headland called Sitio to admire one of the most beautiful views of the Portuguese coast. Travel along the coast to Foz do Arelho and inland to visit Obidos, a walled medieval village. Continue south on the N247 to Ericeira, a charming fishing town popular for surfers all around the world. Drive to Lisbon and spend your last night in the Portuguese capital.

Lisbon – Return to Canada
After breakfast, leave your motorcycle at the Hertz central office in Lisbon and head to the airport for your flight home.
