Day 1
Fly to Quebec City
Fly to Quebec City and pick up your rental car. Take the rest of the day to explore the provincial capital.
Day 2
Quebec City - Matane (410 km)
Journey along the St. Lawrence River to Matane. Be sure to stop at the wonderful Reford Gardens, and don't miss out on fresh Matane shrimp and seafood.
Day 3
Matane - Gaspé (330 km)
Follow one of the most scenic drives in Quebec through picturesque villages on your way to the vast Gulf of St. Lawrence. Stop as often as you like to try local products, or to visit a traditional smoke house. At Forillon National Park, see the dramatic cliffs over the gulf and to stretch your legs on one of its many hiking trails.
Day 4
Gaspé - Percé (55 km)
Take the morning to discover the city of Gaspé, the largest city in the Gaspé Peninsula. Continue to Percé for a cruise to the famous Percé Rock—the greatest symbol of the Gaspé—as well as Bonaventure Island ($) and its colony of Northern gannets. With over 120,000 birds, it's the largest colony of its kind. In the evening, check out handicrafts and restaurants in the lively town centre of Percé.
Day 5
Percé - Carleton-sur-mer (210 km)
Head to Chaleur Bay on the southern side of the peninsula, where you'll cross several salmon rivers. Enjoy relaxing in the tranquil environments of Chaleur Bay. The charming small villages continue up to Carleton-sur-mer, your destination for the night.
Day 6
Carleton-sur-mer - Rimouski (300 km)
Cross the peninsula through the beautiful Matapedia Valley to reach Rimouski, a thriving city connected to nature. Not far from the city centre, Bic National Park is ideal for a hike at sunset overlooking capes, islands and mountains on the edge of the St. Lawrence River.
Day 7
Rimouski – Quebec City (320 km)
Head back to Quebec City on the south side of the St. Lawrence. You'll pass through several charming towns along the way.
Day 8
Return Home
Return your rental car at the airport and board your return flight back home.
