Location:
Arrive in Vancouver. Pick up your rental car at the airport and make your way downtown.
Roam among the city’s modern architecture, immerse yourself in Chinatown, or take a trip to Granville Island. Stanley Park is also worth a visit for a stroll or bike ride, and in the historic neighbourhood of Gastown, you can see the steam clock—one of Vancouver’s many curiosities.
Use your free time to explore Stanley Park, or try the FlyOver Canada Experience at Canada Place ($) in downtown Vancouver.
Admire the giant trees that are typical of temperate rainforests on the continent’s west coast, not to mention the thrill of being 230 feet above ground!
Begin your journey to Whistler with a drive to its famous ski resort by taking the panoramic Sea-to-Sky Highway between Whistler and the coast, passing by Squamish. See the Sea to Sky Gondola’s unforgettable views of Howe Sound’s majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains. Plus, access a variety of outdoor experiences, including hiking trails with stunning lookout points, the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, climbing, and more.
At night, a visit to Vallea Lumina will bring you along a multimedia night walk created by Moment Factory, which leads visitors in following the story of two hikers from another era across an ancient forest, open to visitors of all ages.
Explore Whistler Blackcomb by taking a ski lift to the top of the resort and enjoy an exceptional 360-degree view on the surrounding mountains. Hiking and a variety of outdoor activities are also on the agenda, like rafting, zip-lining, ATV tours, or even an animal safari.
Discover First Nations culture with the Squamish and Lil’wat, two Indigenous nations based in British Columbia.
Drive back to Vancouver and discover its main attractions before you leave, like Chinatown. Shop around Robson Street or in the neighbourhood of Yaletown, known for its trendy, high-end boutiques and restaurants.
Return your rental car and board your flight home.
