Day 1

Arrival in Calgary

Upon arrival at Calgary Airport make your way to the desk of the local scheduled transportation company for your transfer to Banff.

Day 2

Banff

Enjoy a free day to explore the picturesque mountain village of Banff. Perhaps take a tour to explore the Columbia Icefield ($) or ride the Banff Gondola ($) to the top of Sulphur Mountain for breathtaking views.

Day 3

Banff - Kamloops

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the resort town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the interior. Today's highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie - where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven.

Day 4

Kamloops - Vancouver

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today's journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Days 5 & 6

Vancouver

Enjoy two days to explore Vancouver on your own. Take a walk or rent a bike ($) for a tour around the Seawall in Vancouver's Stanley Park or explore its 27 kilometers of trails. Or perhaps head north for a day trip to Whistler, take a walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, visit the picturesque Granville Island Public Market or relax and soak in the sun on one of Vancouver's beaches. There's no shortage of activities in this seaside city.

Day 7

Depart Vancouver

Make your way to the airport for your return flight home.
