Flooding in Liberia, Costa Rica
Due to significant rainfall in Liberia resulting in poor road conditions and flooding, Air Canada Vacations is introducing a Goodwill Policy to offer customers travelling to Liberia, Costa Rica between November 15 - 25, 2024, the reassurance and flexibility to change their booking.

Passengers whose flights have been affected will be contacted by Air Canada Vacations to review other travel options. Please visit the Air Canada app for details on your revised itinerary. Also, customers headed to Liberia, Costa Rica in the upcoming days or those who are at destination, should monitor their email or phone (or any other method of communication selected when booking) to receive updates about changes to their travel itinerary. Customers who are at destination may also see the hotel front desk for updates on departure information.
Customers affected will be offered the following options:
1. Modify Your Booking

Varadero/Holguin Power Outage
Due to a power outage in Varadero and Holguin, Cuba, Air Canada Vacations is introducing a Goodwill Policy to offer customers travelling to Varadero and Holguin between October 21 and November 1, 2024, the reassurance and flexibility to change their booking.
Customers affected by the power outage will be offered the following options:
1. Modify Your Booking
You may modify your booking by selecting new travel dates or a new destination from those offered by Air Canada Vacations. Note that all modifications to your original booking will incur additional fees.
2. Future Travel Credit

Air Canada labour negotiations and your travel
Air Canada has come to an agreement with our pilots’ union. Flights are scheduled to operate normally. However, there may be delays as operations ramp back up and return to normal. Click here to learn more.
Air Canada labour negotiations and your travel
Air Canada is in negotiations with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). Currently, operations are not affected, and flights are operating as scheduled.
At Air Canada Vacations, we understand that certainty about travel plans is important. For this reason, we have introduced a Goodwill Policy to offer customers with imminent travel plans the reassurance and flexibility to change their booking. Customers who have purchased a travel package that includes an Air Canada flight prior to September 9, 2024, for travel dates between September 15 and September 23, 2024 can modify their booking without incurring change fees and rebook on alternate dates between September 9 and September 14, 2024, or September 24, 2024, onwards. Refunds will not be permitted.
Customers will have the option to:
- Change their travel date and benefit from a one-time $50 instant credit per passenger. Price is subject to change.
- Opt for a Future Travel Credit for the full amount, valid for 1 year (instant credit not applicable).
- Customers at destination during the period of September 15 to September 23, 2024 may also request a return travel date change. Change fees will be waived but the customer will have to pay the price difference, if any. Additional charges also apply for extended hotel stays.

Hurricane Policy
Travellers can trust us for vacations with peace of mind. If the U.S. National Hurricane Center/Tropical Prediction Center (NHC/TPC) issues a Tropical Storm Warning, Hurricane Watch or Hurricane Warning for your selected vacation destination within 7 days of your departure, you may be able to change your date, change your destination or choose from other rebooking options. Options may differ if you have an Air Canada Vacations Group or Cruise booking, please contact us for more details.
