Take in the beauty of Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok. Though you may be far away from home, there’s no shortage of activities and excursions worth exploring in this vibrant and culturally robust metropolis. Begin your vacation with a visit to tourist attractions like the three holy Buddhist temples, Wat Arun, Wat Phra and Wat Traimit, the Golden Temple, or take an exhilarating rollercoaster ride at Siam Amazing Park.
Visit Bangkok: Get Started
There’s a lot more to Bangkok than just it’s Buddhist history and architecture. Walk and shop at Chatuchak Market or go to the Damnoen Saduak district, home to one of Thailand’s most visited floating markets. After you’ve picked up delicious goodies from local food vendors, take a leisurely stroll at the multi-functional Lumpini Park before venturing out on a tour of the city.
BANGKOK TRAVEL GUIDE
What to eat
Traditional Thai dishes served throughout Bangkok include Moo Yang (Honey Roast Pork), Kanom Jeeb (Thai Steamed Dumplings), and of course, the all-time favourite, Pad Thai.
What to bring back
We recommend you bring back a couple of souvenirs from your trip, such as handmade bags and silverware, carvings, herbal remedies and trinkets, which you can purchase from all over the city or from street vendors. Make sure to bargain for a good deal!
Though we tend to refer to the Thai capital as Bangkok, its actual name is far much longer. In fact, it has the longest name for a city in the entire world!
