WHAT TO BRING BACKArtistic mementos from the Salvador Dalí Museum, nautical souvenirs from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, some shimmering sand or seashells from Clearwater or St. Pete beach, literary finds from Haslam's Bookstore and beach-themed artwork, jewellery or apparel.
FUN FACTFlorida… and Russia? What does one of the world’s sunniest places and one of its coldest have in common? Well, the legend goes that St. Pete’s two founding fathers, John C. Williams and Peter Demens, tossed a coin to win the honour of naming their new city. Railway owner Peter Demens won and chose to name it in honour of Saint Petersburg, Russia, where he grew up.
