Berlin is Germany's capital and largest city, known for its rich and tumultuous history, vibrant culture, and striking contrasts, where historical landmarks stand alongside modern architecture and expansive green spaces.
Munich, known in German as München ("Home of the Monks"), is the capital of the state of Bavaria in southern Germany. It is renowned for its blend of historical elegance, sophisticated culture and traditional Bavarian lifestyle.
Salzburg is famous for being the birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the enchanting setting for the movie The Sound of Music, its stunning Baroque architecture, UNESCO-listed Old Town, majestic Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the world-renowned Salzburg Festival.
Vienna is renowned as the "City of Music" for its classical composers (Mozart, Beethoven), imperial palaces (Hofburg, Schönbrunn), elegant coffeehouse culture, historic architecture, famous cuisine (Wiener Schnitzel, Sacher Torte) and high quality of life.
