Days 1 & 2

Depart Canada

Depart from Canada bound for Bangkok’s International Airport.

Day 3

Welcome to Hanoi

Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, you might be required to clear customs and immigration in Thailand. Once cleared, you’ll proceed to the luggage collection area, collect your belongings and check in for your connection flight to Hanoi, “The City of Lakes.”

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll proceed through customs and immigration. After clearing, you’ll head to the exit where a local representative will greet you with a sign bearing your name. They will escort you to your transfer, which will take you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4

Hanoi

After breakfast, you’ll meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby and get ready for an exciting full-day city tour. Discover the highlights of the destination as you explore its history, culture and local way of life. Your guide will share fascinating insights and stories along the way, creating a memorable experience filled with unique sights and unforgettable moments.

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Full-day city tour

    You’ll begin your day at Ba Dinh Square with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (subject to opening hours; closed Mondays, Fridays and afternoons), followed by Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. You’ll continue to the historic One Pillar Pagoda and one of Hanoi’s notable museums, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, Hoa Lo Prison or the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, based on your interests and availability. You’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

    In the afternoon, you’ll explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius. You’ll end the day wandering through the atmospheric Old Quarter, Hanoi’s oldest district and former trading hub, before relaxing at a local roadside café and experiencing daily life over a cup of traditional Vietnamese coffee.

Day 5

Hanoi - Hạ Long Bay (Overnight cruise)

After breakfast and check-out, you’ll meet your guide in the lobby of the hotel and embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau Jetty, where an exciting overnight cruise on the famous Hạ Long Bay awaits!

Upon arrival at the pier, you’ll take a speedboat to your vessel and enjoy lunch while cruising through Hạ Long Bay’s iconic limestone islands. Depending on your itinerary, you can explore caves, grottos, pearl farms or island beaches, with some cruises offering kayaking. After sunset, enjoy a Vietnamese cooking demonstration followed by a delicious dinner. The day ends with the boat anchoring for the night among the karst formations.

Important note: Please note your vessel’s itinerary is subject to change at short notice and is dependent on weather and tidal conditions. If weather conditions are deemed unsafe, the harbour master may deny departure, and you will be re-accommodated with the best alternative ground services available.

Day 6

Hạ Long Bay - Hanoi

Start your morning by awakening your senses with a relaxing Tai Chi session on the sundeck or simply unwind on board while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the bay.

Afterwards, you’ll enjoy breakfast as the cruise makes its way back through the bay to the pier. Upon disembarkation, you’ll continue your journey to your next destination.

A local representative will be waiting to welcome you upon arrival, holding an Air Canada Vacations sign displaying your name. They will escort you to your transfer and accompany you to your hotel in Hanoi, where you can check in and refresh before the evening’s memorable experience. Later, enjoy the evening water puppet show with cyclo ride.

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

    Enjoy this wonderful introduction to one of Hanoi’s most cherished cultural traditions. Begin with a leisurely cyclo ride (three-wheeled bicycle taxi) through the city’s vibrant streets, offering a unique perspective of local life as you make your way to the theatre.

    Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a traditional water puppet show, a captivating art form that dates to the 11th century, when villagers in the Red River Delta performed stories and legends over flooded rice fields. Brought to life through expertly crafted puppets, the performance is accompanied by a traditional Vietnamese orchestra and live singers, whose music and storytelling add depth and emotion to the folk tales and rural scenes unfolding on the water.

    Following the performance, you’ll continue your evening with dinner at a local Vietnamese restaurant, where you can relax and reflect on this charming and culturally significant experience while savouring the flavours of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Day 7

Hanoi - Phú Quốc

After breakfast and check-out, your local representative will take you to Hanoi Airport for your flight to “Vietnam’s Island Paradise,” Phú Quốc.

Upon arrival, you’ll collect your luggage and proceed to the exit where a local representative will greet you with an Air Canada Vacations sign with your name on it. They will escort you to your hotel to check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Days 8 to 11

Phú Quốc

Spend four full days at leisure in Phú Quốc, an idyllic island retreat renowned for its long stretches of soft sand, tranquil atmosphere and stunning coastal scenery. With ample time to unwind, this beachside paradise invites you to embrace a slower pace, whether enjoying peaceful moments by the shoreline or simply soaking in the island’s laid-back ambiance. Surrounded by the beauty of the sea and warm tropical breezes, Phú Quốc offers the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and savour the serenity of Vietnam’s premier beach destination.

Day 12

Phú Quốc - Bangkok

After a leisurely breakfast, your local representative will take you to Phú Quốc International Airport for your flight to Bangkok.

Upon arrival, you’ll proceed through customs and immigration. After these formalities are completed, you’ll collect your luggage and proceed directly to the Airport Hotel Counter, located next to Gate 4 in the Arrivals Hall (2nd Floor), to arrange your complimentary airport-hotel shuttle transfer service.

If you are unable to locate the hotel counter, please proceed to the International Arrivals Hall, Exit B (near Exit Door No. 6), where a Destination Asia Airport Representative will be available to assist you.

The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 13

Bangkok - Canada

After breakfast, please arrange your hotel-to-airport shuttle transfer with the front desk of your hotel. The shuttle will take you to Bangkok’s international airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), for your flight back to Canada.

    • Visits to sacred temples:
      Visitors must wear discreet and respectful clothing, like blouses or shirts that cover their arms and shoulders. During the visit to the Bakan tower of Angkor Wat temple, visitors are required to wear proper attire, covering shoulders and knees, as this temple is still considered a sacred site (no shorts, miniskirts or short trousers). Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up this tower. It will be closed on the Buddhist Sabbath Days, the Buddhist religious days, four days a month in accordance with the Lunar Calendar.
