Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Canada

Depart on your overnight flight to Bogotá’s international airport.

Day 2

Welcome to Bogotá

Upon arrival at El Dorado International Airport, you will be required to clear customs and immigration. Once you've completed the formalities, a local representative, will be waiting to greet you with an Air Canada Vacations sign. You'll then be escorted to your private transfer, which will take you to your hotel for an early check-in (included). The rest of the morning and early afternoon is at leisure.

Your afternoon adventure begins with a visit to Monserrate (entrance and cable car ride included); the iconic mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of Bogotá. Soak in the stunning vistas and the serene atmosphere at the top. Afterward, you'll be comfortably transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

    A must-visit destination offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural significance, and breathtaking views. Perched high above the city at 10,341 feet (3,152 metres), this iconic mountain is crowned by a historic church, the Sanctuary of Monserrate, a revered pilgrimage site.

Day 3

Bogotá

Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a captivating tour of the vibrant Paloquemao Fruit Market. Following this adventure, continue your exploration with a half-day Bogotá city tour*, uncovering the rich history and culture of Colombia's capital!

*Duration is subject to change due to weather and operational constraints on the ground.

After the tour ends, your private transfer will take you back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Bogotá

After breakfast, your private transfer will take you on an exhilarating full-day guided adventure* to Chicaque Natural Park, just a short drive from Bogotá. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Andes as you hike through the mystical cloud forest, discovering the rich flora and fauna that make this park a natural treasure.

*Duration may vary depending on weather or operational constraints on the ground.

Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5

Bogotá - Medellín

After breakfast, your private driver will take you to El Dorado International Airport to catch your flight to the “City of the Eternal Spring”: Medellín!

Upon arrival to Jose Maria Cordova International Airport, collect your bags and proceed to the exit doors, where a local representative will greet you with an Air Canada Vacations sign. Then you will be escorted to your private transfer that will take you to your hotel to check in.

In the afternoon, your exploration begins with a metro ride to San Javier station, accompanied by your bilingual guide. As you glide over the neighborhood in the Metrocable, you'll gain insights into Comuna 13's tumultuous past and its efforts towards social and infrastructural rehabilitation.

Upon reaching the ground, you'll embark on a short bus ride to the escalators area, where a local guide from Comuna 13 awaits. Walking alongside the vibrant murals, you'll hear stories behind the art—each piece a narrative of resilience tinged with the ongoing struggles of gentrification and cultural commodification.

Afterwards, your private guide will escort you back to your hotel using the same type of transportation.

Day 6

Medellín – Guatapé – Medellín

After an early breakfast, your private transfer will take you on a scenic drive east of Medellín to Guatapé town. Prepare for an invigorating hike up 649 steps to the summit of El Peñol, where you can enjoy stunning views and purchase snacks and cold beverages.

Once you descend from El Peñol, your guide will lead you through the charming town of Guatapé, where you’ll savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Following lunch, your private transfer will return you to Medellín. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

    Your day trip will be filled with cobblestone streets, colourful facades, a huge natural rock, and beautiful landscapes. This tour will take you to one of Colombia’s must-see attractions: the massive rock La Piedra de Guatapé, also known as El Peñol or simply La Piedra (The Stone). You’ll be climbing up the 649 stairs, so ensure you are physically fit for the challenge! The reward? Astonishing views!

    Back at the bottom, you’ll get to hear the story about the letters G and U imprinted on the north side of the rock, telling us about two cities claiming El Peñol as their own.

Day 7

Medellín

After breakfast, your private driver will take you on this morning’s exciting adventure! Dive deep into the rich world of coffee with an exclusive Coffee Masters experience. This immersive tour will uncover the artistry, history, and craftsmanship behind coffee, offering you a unique opportunity to gain a profound appreciation for the world's beloved caffeinated beverage.

Afterwards, you will be transferred to the Jose Maria Cordova International Airport to catch your flight to Bogotá.

Upon arrival to El Dorado International Airport, a local representative will greet you with an Air Canada Vacations sign and will escort you to your private transfer to take you to your hotel to check-in. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
