Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Canada

Fly to Copenhagen.

Day 2

Welcome to Copenhagen and the Kingdom of Denmark

Arrive in Copenhagen and take a transfer to your hotel.

Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Walk along the streets of this charming Scandinavian capital and explore the city on foot, where there are treasures on every corner.

Day 3

Copenhagen to Oslo, Overnight Cruise

After breakfast, spend the day at leisure, then make your own way to the DFDS Copenhagen cruise terminal to board your overnight cruise to Oslo.

Day 4-5

Arrival in Oslo, Sightseeing

Upon arrival in Oslo, make your own way to the hotel.

Take a tour around the royal palace, Akershus fortress and make a stop in Frogner Park. Visit the famous Karl Johan’s Gate with its many shops, bars and cafés. We recommend a 24-hour Oslo pass for free public transit in Oslo and entrance to most of the city’s museums, like Oslo City Hall, Fram Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, and the Nobel Peace Center.

Day 6

Explore The Fjord Region, Flåm

After breakfast make your own way to the train station in Oslo and begin your journey discovering the beautiful Fjords of Norway.

The train cuts through the beautiful, high plateau of Hardangervidda before reaching its first stop in Myrdal. Here you will board the famous Flåmsbana - one of the steepest train lines in the world. The journey passes fantastic natural wonders like the Rallarvegen, steep mountains, breathtaking waterfalls through 20 tunnels and numerous viewpoints.

  • Nærøyfjord Excursion

    Arrive at Flåm, check in to your hotel and embark on a spectacular fjord cruise on Nærøyfjord. After the cruise, return from Gudvangen to Flåm by bus. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7

From Flåm to Bergen by Train

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing morning close to the beautiful nature that surrounds the charming, little village of Flåm. There are several walking and hiking trails to choose from to venture into the mountains and discover the area.

Later, board the Flåmsbana again and head towards Bergen.

Upon arrival in the evening, make your own way to the hotel.

Day 8

Discover Bergen

After breakfast, have a free day to discover Bergen on your own – the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway.

Enjoy the atmosphere of the old port, Bryggen, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Stroll along the fish market or lose yourself in the tiny alleys along the wooden houses. Take the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyenand and admire the city from above.

Day 9

Bergan at Leisure and Overnight Cruise to Hirsthals

After breakfast, enjoy your last morning in Bergen. In the afternoon, make your own way to the cruise terminal before boarding your overnight cruise to Denmark along the Norwegian coast.

Cruise through the Danish peninsula, Jutland. This is a good opportunity to admire from the sea the various landscapes that Norway has to offer.

Day 10

Morning Arrival in Hirsthals, Denmark, Onwards to Aalborg & Aarhus

Morning arrival in Hirsthals - on the west coast of Denmark.

From the terminal, a bus takes you to Aalborg (approximately 1h30), a provincial city in Jutland. You have free time to explore the town and have lunch before leaving by train to Aarhus (approximately 1h30).

Day 11

Explore Aarhus

After breakfast, spend the day at your leisure. We recommend the art museum, ARoS, for its spectacular architecture and collection of modern art. The city centre is also full of hip boutiques and cafes as well as antique stores and art galleries. Make sure to visit the cathedral, which is the longest and tallest in the country. You could also visit Den Gamle By, an immersive open-air museum focused on historical town culture, made up of refurbished buildings.

Day 12

Return to Copenhagen by Boat

After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure.

In the afternoon, take your organized bus to the ferry terminal, where the bus is loaded on-board. You will sail from Aarhus back to Zealand and disembark in Odden, where your bus will drive you back to Copenhagen (3.5 hours in total including the boat).

Spend the rest of the day discovering Copenhagen.

Day 13

Discover Copenhagen

After breakfast, enjoy the famed charms from the past and present, including the infamous Little Mermaid statue and the rococo Royal Palace Amalienborg. Walk around Nyhavn which was once a busy commercial port. Don’t forget to visit the home of author Hans Christian Andersen! During summer Nyhavn is the perfect place to end a long day.

For a change of pace, try getting around the city by bike, like the locals do. Copenhagen is world-famous for its bike culture, and Copenhageners have used the bicycle as their primary method of transportation since the 1880s.

Day 14

Return Home

Have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your last moments in Copenhagen, before boarding a private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
