Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Canada
Fly to Copenhagen.
Day 2
Welcome to Copenhagen and the Kingdom of Denmark
Arrive in Copenhagen and pick up your car at the airport.
Proceed to your hotel in Copenhagen.
After, begin your exploration and visit stops like the charming canal district, the Town Hall Square, Christiansborg Castle, the seat of government, Kongens Nytorv Square and the Royal Theater, the canals of Nyhavn district, and Amalienborg Castle where the royal family lives. Make sure to admire the Gefion Fountain and pay a visit to the “Little Mermaid” statue by the sea.
Day 3
Copenhagen – “The Castles of Sjaelland” - Copenhagen
After breakfast, begin your discovery of the castles of Sjælland!
Departure for Hillerød, where you can admire Frederiksborg Castle and its chapel (entrance included).
After, take the road to Fredensborg and stop at Fredensborg Castle ($), the summer residence of the royal family and its park.
Continue towards Helsingør via Strandvejen coastal road.
Walk around Helsingør (Elsinore) to the Renaissance castle of Kronborg ($), whose construction dates to 1500 and which Shakespeare made the setting of Hamlet.
Return to Copenhagen, evening at leisure.

Copenhagen – Roskilde – Funen: “The Vikings of Roskilde”
After breakfast, departure for Roskilde, which celebrated its 1,000th birthday in 1998.
Then, follow in the footsteps of the Vikings, from 793 to 1069, by visiting the Viking Museum (entrance included), located on the edge of the fjord, which notably exhibits a 31-metre-long warship, the longest ever found.
At the end of your discoveries, get back on the road and cross the the Great Belt Bridge which connects Sjælland to Funen.

Funen – Ribe “Odense & The Tales of Andersen”
After breakfast, drive to Odense. Your first stop along the way will be the Renaissance-style Egeskov Castle (entrance included). The fortress owes its name to the thousands of oak stilts upon which it was built in the middle of a lake surrounded by gardens and bamboo labyrinths. Continue to Odense and visit the Hans Christian Andersen museum ($). Continue your drive to Ribe, Denmark’s oldest town.

Ribe – Aalborg “Jelling Runestones”
After breakfast, head onwards to Aalborg.
Drive along the road to Jelling and view the Jelling runestones site a few kilometers west of Vejle. Near Jelling Church is one of the most important monuments from the Viking era.
Departure for Viborg, where you can admire the largest granite church in northern Europe.
Continue to Aalborg and its Lindholm Høje necropolis with 700 sculptures, among the most famous and important archaeological sites of the Viking era.

Aalborg “The Meeting of the Seas in Skagen”
After breakfast, depart for North Jutland and Jammer Bay.
Pass by the Rubjerg Knude lighthouse, perched on an impressive 90-meter cliff from where you can enjoy a magnificent landscape.
Then continue your journey to Skagen, a picturesque little town which inspired 19th century Danish painters.
Finally, visit Grenen, Denmark's northernmost site, where the North Sea and the Baltic meet.

Aalborg - Aarhus “Discover Aarhus”
After breakfast, depart to Hobro and the Viking center of Fyrkat, one of the four most important Viking fortresses in the country.
Continue to Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. With more than 40,000 students, Aarhus is a young and dynamic center of art and culture.
Discover the ARoS art museum ($), with its spectacular architecture, has a large collection and organizes events for all ages.
Continue your visit with the cathedral in the city center, which is the longest in Denmark, and also the one with the largest organ and the largest number of frescoes.
In the Latin Quarter, near the cathedral, you will find excellent antique shops, art galleries and trendy designer boutiques. You can also explore its old town (Den Gamle By), where around sixty historically accurate reconstructed houses give the living image of a trading town of yesteryear.

Aarhus – Odden - Copenhagen
After breakfast, board the ferry to reach the island of Sjælland. Upon arrival in Odden, continue your journey to Copenhagen.
Rest of the day at leisure, enjoy your last evening in Copenhagen.
