Monaco, Monte Carlo & Rothschild Villa
Discover the legendary Monte Carlo Casino, envisioned by Prince Charles III in the 1880s to rescue the House of Grimaldi from financial ruin. This iconic landmark has served as the backdrop for numerous famous films, including James Bond classics and Ocean’s Twelve. Monte Carlo is also home to some of the world’s wealthiest sports stars, who can occasionally be spotted around the glamorous Casino Square.
In the afternoon, visit the exquisite Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a masterpiece designed by French architect Aaron Messiah in the early 20th century for Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild. The villa's gardens are recognized as one of France’s Notable Gardens. Admission to the Rothschild Villa and Gardens is included.
