Overview
First, you’ll set off to explore Porto and its historical centre. Here, you can marvel at the Old Cathedral, the Church of St. Francis and the Torre dos Clérigos, combined with contemporary buildings like the Serralves Museum and the Casa da Música (concert hall).
Then, it’s onwards to the Algarve, located in the southernmost region of Portugal. This region is renowned for its stunning beaches, dramatic cliffs and charming seaside towns. Enjoy this portion of your holiday to relax and soak up the sun-dappled scenery.

Fly to Porto.
Day 2-4
Welcome Portugal & Porto
Arrive at the Porto Airport and take a private transfer to your hotel. After checking in, you’ll have plenty of time to explore this charming city located along the Doura River at your own pace over the next 3 nights.
Porto’s old town in the city center has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. Wandering its winding streets filled with red roof buildings will make you feel like you are stepping back in time. You’ll glimpse the Porto Cathedral with its Romanesque choir, the neoclassical Stock Exchange Palace and the typically Portuguese Manueline-style Church of Santa Clara, complete with gold leaf accents.

Half-day Porto Walking Tour, with Cellar Visit and Tasting
Enjoy a guided tour to explore this beautiful city set along the scenic Douro River. Visit the imposing Porto Cathedral, the Neoclassical Stock Exchange Palace and the São Bento Railway Station. Continue through the historic centre, with narrow streets and squares and admire the breathtaking façade of the Livraria Lello (bookstore exterior). Cap off the tour with a visit to a Port wine cellar and sample some regional wine flavours.

Porto - Algarve
After breakfast, take a private transfer to the train station to board your train to the Algarve. Upon arrival in the Algarve, take a private transfer to your hotel, where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Algarve - Lisbon
After breakfast, take a private transfer to the train station and board your train to Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, make your own way to your hotel. After checking in, you’ll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace over the next 4 nights.
Lisbon, known as “The City of Seven Hills,” is Portugal’s cosmopolitan capital, famous for its hospitality, gastronomy and rich cultural heritage. Here, historical monuments and World Heritage Sites are intertwined with modern culture and urban art.

Full-day Sintra and Lisbon Tour - Departure from the meeting point
Enjoy a full-day of epic beauty and history as you tour Sintra, Cascais, Belém and Lisbon. You’ll depart from Lisbon and head towards the charming town of Sintra. You’ll begin with a guided tour of the exterior of Pena Palace, a 19th century architectural masterpiece known as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal and set amongst lush gardens. This visit will include a walk through several of the corners of the Palace's exterior, exploring its gardens and marvelling at the panoramic views offered by the various courtyards and balconies.
From here, you’ll visit Sintra’s historic centre and enjoy some free time to stroll through the charming and winding streets, exploring traditional shops and perhaps stopping for lunch (not included) in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, continue to Cascais, an idyllic seaside town where you'll have free time to explore the beach or the historic centre. Once returning to Lisbon, you’ll start with a tour of the laid-back Belém, admiring the imposing Belém Tower and the symbolic Monument to the Discoveries. You’ll stop off at the grand Jerónimos Monastery and walk to the famous Pastéis de Belém pastry shop for a tasting of their custard tarts, which follows the ancient monastery’s recipe (included).
The tour ends with a panoramic tour of Lisbon's city center, taking in emblematic landmarks and areas such as the classic Estrela neighbourhood, the São Pedro Alcântara viewpoint, Cais do Sodré Railway Station, Avenida da Ribeira das Naus with its seaside promenade, Praça do Comércio plaza, Largo Camões square, Rossio square and Restauradores square.

Fado Dinner & Show (no transfers included)
Experience a dazzling night out for a farewell dinner and a Fado show with drinks at one of the Fado restaurants in the Alfama or Bairro Alto quarters. Fado is a music genre similar to the blues, meaning “fate” or “destiny”, that evokes the ‘musical expression of the Portuguese people,’ symbolic of the city and country. Each ballad conjures up the Portuguese emotion of ‘saudade’, a longing for something lost.
