Nearby, the National Azulejo Museum displays five centuries of decorative ceramic tiles. Just outside Lisbon is a string of Atlantic beaches, from Cascais to Estoril.

Lisbon offers diverse neighbourhoods, from historic Alfama (Fado, narrow streets) and central Baixa (grand squares, shopping) to bohemian Bairro Alto (nightlife) and chic Chiado (cafes, theatres).  The modern Parque das Nações and historic Belém monuments are also key visits, each providing a unique Lisbon experience.
