Australia and Tasmania Wilderness Escape

Welcome to Australia!  

Once you pass customs, you’ll meet your driver for your personal transfer to the hotel, located in the central business district of Sydney. Check in to your hotel, then set off to explore at your own pace.

After breakfast, meet the group to begin the tour in Sydney’s old town, The Rocks, in the heart of its central business district, where you’ll learn about the city’s colonial history and convict past, and its evolution into a modern financial hub.  

The route includes Macquarie Street and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, offering access to historic landmarks and prime views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The journey continues along the southern shores, bays and coves, showcasing the natural beauty of the harbour. A break is taken at Watsons Bay and The Gap to capture some of Sydney’s most captivating panoramic vistas. After travelling through Dover Heights, the tour reaches the famous Bondi Beach, giving guests time to stroll the promenade and see the local lifesavers.

The return trip to the city passes through Tamarama and Bronte beaches, Centennial Park and Paddington before pausing at Darling Harbour and Barangaroo, the city’s newest urban entertainment district. Finally, the drive winds past the restored finger wharves of Walsh Bay and directly underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, concluding back in the historic Rocks area near Circular Quay.

Meet your guide and start your day at the Blue Mountains National Park, one of seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalypt forests boasts luxury retreats and stunning views. You will go off the beaten track to visit remote lookout locations and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region. The first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill City Farm, a working farm also home to kangaroos, emus, wombats and koalas.  

Continue to ascend the Blue Mountains and visit a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley. Arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, offering uncrowded views of the 
famous Three Sisters, a spectacular rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons, as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours.

The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts, including Govetts Leap, one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff, and the lookout provides sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness.

Today the real adventure begins! Meet your driver in the lobby for your drive to the airport, where you’ll board a flight and head over to Hobart, Tasmania.

On arrival in Hobart, your personalized chauffeur will meet you at the baggage carousel and take you to your hotel. Once settled into the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to discover the city of Hobart.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure from Hobart to Cradle Mountain, finishing up at Launceston. This exclusive day tour offers a unique opportunity to experience one of Tasmania’s most iconic natural wonders while taking in some of the state’s most stunning landscapes. Next, go on the Enchanted and King Billy Pine walks through ancient, moss-covered forests, home to 4,000-year-old trees, crystal-clear streams and lots of wildlife. 

Keep an eye out for wombats, wallabies and the elusive Tasmanian devil! Also, explore smaller walks like the Pencil Pine Falls or the historic Waldheim Chalet.

From Cradle Mountain, enjoy a scenic drive to your hotel in Launceston, where you’ll spend the night.

If you’re an avid hiker, you’ll have up to 4 hours to explore Freycinet National Park at your own pace. Choose from an array of trails, including the iconic Wineglass Bay hike or the challenging ascent to Mount Amos, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the world-renowned beach of Wineglass Bay.  

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, a knowledgeable guide will lead you on a scenic walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout, where you’ll take in the stunning views. This moderate 40-minute hike uphill is well worth the effort. After soaking in those magnificent sights, we’ll descend for a leisurely stroll around the Cape Tourville Lighthouse, taking in the breathtaking coastal scenery. Enjoy a refreshing swim at Honeymoon Bay. With its orange-capped granite rocks, crystal-clear waters and pristine white sands, Honeymoon Bay offers the perfect spot to refresh.

Our adventure begins at kunanyi/Mount Wellington (1,272m), where you’ll enjoy Tasmania’s pristine air and stunning panoramic views of Hobart—perfect for a selfie! Next, explore Salamanca Market (Saturdays only), a vibrant showcase of Tasmanian art, produce, buskers and souvenirs. We then journey through the Coal River Valley wine region, stopping at Wicked Cheese for a complimentary tasting. In historic Richmond, admire Australia’s oldest bridge and church, with time for lunch and optional tastings at Drink Tasmania.

Finally, visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to meet kangaroos, Tasmanian devils and other unique Aussie wildlife.

Today you’ll be met by your driver and whisked away to the airport for your flight to Melbourne. On arrival at the Melbourne airport, your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel, where you’ll spend the next 3 nights.

Today is yours to discover all that the city of Melbourne has to offer and explore the waterfront, Victoria Market relax in the gardens or roam the Queen.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or a nearby location early afternoon and head southeast from Melbourne to reach Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you’ll see kangaroos, wallabies and koalas, plus an array of colourful birds and reptiles.

The journey will then continue to Phillip Island, the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the famous little penguins. You’ll go to the western corner of the island to enjoy magnificent views of Bass Strait and the Nobbies, home to the largest colony of fur seals in Australia.

During the daylight savings months, you’ll travel to the town of Cowes, where you’ll have free time for dinner. In the winter months, you can eat at the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre or wait for your return back to your city hotel. Finally, a trip to Phillip Island is not complete without its black-tie gala event: the Penguin Parade.

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby. You’ll then go on a coastal drive with your small group and enjoy the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Be on the lookout for some special animals, like koalas and kangaroos.

You’ll visit Apollo Bay, a tranquil seaside town most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. I

Then you’ll enjoy a walk in the forest in the Otway Ranges. A truly unique day out, capped off by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

You’ll meet your driver in the lobby for a private ride to the Melbourne airport, where you’ll board your flight to Sydney.

Upon arrival in Sydney, once again you’ll meet your driver for a short ride to your airport hotel, where you’ll spend the last evening.

It’s time to say farewell to the unforgettable journey.  Make your way to the airport to board your return flight to Canada.
