Overview
Discover one of Europe’s best-kept secrets for outdoor enthusiasts on this guided walking holiday to Andorra. Known for its towering peaks and winter sports, this small country is equally impressive for mountain walking in the warmer months.
Based in the village of La Massana, we’ll explore the Andorran Pyrenees over four guided walking days, visiting highlights such as Lake Moreno, Griu Summit and Coma Pedrosa Peak. You’ll also have free time for your own independent adventures in this true hiker’s paradise.
This holiday is suitable for walkers with a FAIR level of experience. Moderate routes range from 7.6 km to 9 km with ascents up to 700 metres, while challenging routes vary from 12.5 km to 15 km with climbs of up to 1,400 metres.

Day 1
Depart Canada
Fly to Toulouse.
Day 2
Welcome to Toulouse
Upon your arrival, you’ll take your transfer to the hotel, settle in and explore Toulouse at your own pace.
Day 3
Toulouse - Andorra
After breakfast, you’ll make your way to the bus station and board your bus transfer to Andorra. From there, you’ll make your own way to the hotel and check in. After getting settled, meet the group for an orientation with the local expert walking guides. After the meeting, you’ll have some free time to explore independently before joining your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 4
Andorra - Madriu Valley walking excursion
Today’s walk offers two route options through the magnificent Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004 and the only fully preserved valley of its kind in the Pyrenees.
Moderate Route: Ramio & Entremesaigües
9 km – 6/7 hrs – +550 m
This scenic trail follows the gentle flow of the Madriu River through lush forests and traditional stone villages. Along the way, enjoy sweeping valley views before descending toward meadows and glacial lakes near Entremesaigües.
Challenging Route: Font Verd & Cabana d’Estall Serrer
15 km – 6/7 hrs – +750 m
A rewarding trek through rugged forest paths, alpine meadow, and granite peaks. Stops include the mountain refuge of Font Verd and the remote Cabana d’Estall Serrer, offering breathtaking views and a true sense of Andorra’s wild mountain beauty.

Day 5
Coma Pedrosa Natural Park – Walking Excursion
Today offers two route options—moderate and challenging—through Les Valls del Coma Pedrosa Communal Natural Park, a protected area of 15.42 km² renowned for its high mountain landscapes, forests, lakes and waterfalls. Its network of hiking trails and refuges provides countless opportunities to appreciate the region’s flora and fauna.
Moderate Route: Pla del Estany & Camí de Carboneres
7 km – 6/7 hrs – +500 m
This scenic route ascends gently through pine forests to the peaceful Pla del Estany meadow, surrounded by mountain peaks. The return along the historic Camí de Carboneres reveals sweeping valley views and showcases the park’s rich biodiversity.
Challenging Route: Coma Pedrosa Shelter & Camí de Carboneres
8 km – 6/7 hrs – +780 m
Departing from Arinsal, the trail climbs steadily to the Coma Pedrosa Shelter beneath Andorra’s highest peak. Panoramic views of glacial lakes and rugged terrain reward the effort before descending along the Camí de Carboneres. Best suited for experienced hikers.

Day 6
Andorra at Leisure
Enjoy a full day exploring Andorra independently. The country offers excellent, well-marked walking paths and charming mountain villages rich in medieval character. Alternatively, immerse yourself in local culture and sample traditional Andorran cuisine influenced by both French and Spanish gastronomy.

Day 7
Incles Valley – Walking Excursion
Both route options today explore the beautiful Incles Valley, located between El Tarter and Soldeu. Its glacial U-shape and subalpine-to-alpine scenery make it one of Andorra’s most striking natural settings.
Moderate Route: Estany Siscaró & Camí de l’Obac
7 km – 6/7 hrs – +500 m
A gradual climb through meadows and forests leads to the tranquil Estany de Siscaró lake. The descent via Camí de l’Obac offers peaceful woodland paths and views across the valley’s green slopes.
Challenging Route: Estany Siscaró & Pas de les Vaques
10 km – 6/7 hrs – +800 m
This longer hike continues beyond the lake to the Pas de les Vaques mountain pass, offering spectacular panoramas of the Pyrenean ridgelines—a rewarding experience for seasoned walkers.

Day 8
Andorra at Leisure
Enjoy another full day for independent exploration. You may wish to take the gondola lift from La Massana to nearby mountain resorts. Our local guide will gladly suggest activities, from scenic walks to outdoor adventures, making the most of this stunning alpine environment.

Day 9
Sorteny Natural Park – Estanyó Lake & Peak Excursion
Today’s hike explores Sorteny Natural Park, home to more than 700 species of plants and flowers, 50 of which are unique to the Pyrenees. Both routes lead to the glacial Estanyó Lake (2,330 m).
Moderate Route: Including Estanyó Lake
8 km – 7 hrs – +550 m
A rewarding walk to the tranquil lake before beginning the descent.
Challenging Route: Including Estanyó Lake & Peak
12.5 km – 7 hrs – +1,125 m
From the lake, continue the ascent to Estanyó Peak (2,915 m), one of Andorra’s highest summits, offering breathtaking views across the Pyrenees.

Day 10
Andorra to Toulouse
After breakfast, make your way to the bus station for your transfer by bus to Toulouse. Upon arrival in Toulouse, make your own way to the hotel and check-in. Enjoy some free time at your leisure.
