Depart on your flight to Vienna.

 

Day 2

Welcome to Vienna and Austria

Upon arrival take a private transfer to your hotel, where you will spend the next 9 nights.

Spend the remainder of your day exploring at your own pace. Over the next 10 days, you will have plenty of time to explore this outstanding city and venture to neighbouring areas to experience the true authentic essence of Austria.

Vienna, Austria's capital, draws millions of tourists annually thanks to its rich history, stunning Baroque architecture, and vibrant arts and music scene. Visitors can explore Schönbrunn Palace and the Habsburg Imperial family's history, admire the Ringstrasse's grand buildings, or enjoy the iconic Vienna Giant Wheel at the Prater amusement park.

  • Regular guided city tour of Vienna including entrance to Schönbrunn

    Use your 24-hour-unlimited public transportation ticket to reach the city center where you’ll see some of the city’s most iconic sights with your experienced guide. At the "Ringstrasse" you will see the Vienna State Opera, the Parliament, the grand Hofburg Palace, the acclaimed Burgtheater, the striking City Hall and more. After the "inner-city" tour, you are in for a treat: your guide will lead you through the impressive Schönbrunn Palace. This magnificent Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Vienna’s most visited attraction. (Approx 3.5 hours)

  • Viennese Strudel Show

    The chef expertly shows how to bake an original Viennese apple strudel, one of the city's most famous desserts. For approximately 15-20 minutes, onlookers get to witness the expertise and craftsmanship as the chef creates the traditional dessert to perfection, rolling the dough so thin you can actually see through it! From start to finish, the mouthwatering aromas fill the bakery.

A walk through this historic area offers a unique insight into the life of the musical genius.     Join us on an unforgettable excursion from Vienna to beautiful Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its stunning location. The journey from Vienna takes you through the picturesque Salzkammergut, one of Austria's most beautiful regions. Enjoy the splendid views of gentle hills, idyllic villages, and breathtaking lakes, making the route a visual delight. On the way to Hallstatt, you'll pass some of the most fascinating landscapes in the country, with their pristine nature and clear lake waters that seem straight out of a picture book. Nestled between crystal-clear waters and majestic mountains, our destination, Hallstatt, is a true paradise for photographers. During your guided city walk, you’ll dive into the 7,000-year history of Hallstatt. Learn about the ancient salt mines that brought prosperity to the region, as well as the tragedies that unfolded in this extraordinary town. In the winter months, you will have the opportunity to visit the Hallstatt ossuary. This special attraction offers a fascinating insight into the centuries-old tradition of the town and is an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to learn more about Hallstatt’s history and culture. In the summer months, you can enjoy a relaxing boat ride across the lake, where you can experience the stunning views of the surrounding nature. Afterward, you’ll have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch or stroll through the charming streets, soaking in the unique atmosphere of this small yet enchanting town. To end the day, our comfortable bus ride will take you back to Vienna.

  • Full-Day Trip to Wachau Valley

    Experience an unforgettable day trip from Vienna through the picturesque Wachau region— one of Europe's most beautiful cultural landscapes. Along the gently winding Danube, you can expect steep vineyards, charming villages, and historic sights. This full-day excursion takes you through the enchanting Danube Valley, where the Danube River winds gently through one of Europe’s most beautiful cultural landscapes. The Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage site, impresses with its steep vineyards, charming villages, and historical landmarks along the river. Our first stop is the town of Dürnstein, famous for its impressive castle ruins, which watch over the town from above. Dürnstein is a place where history and nature merge in a unique way. The ruins were once the prison of Richard the Lionheart, the English king, and offer a breathtaking view of the Danube Valley. Next, we head to Spitz, an idyllic town in the Wachau. There, in the summer months, you can enjoy the stunning landscape on a boat ride along the Danube. As you glide gently over the river, you can admire the picturesque vineyards and rolling riverbanks that make the region so unique. The final stop on the tour is Melk, where the world-famous Melk Abbey stands majestically. This Baroque masterpiece, perched high above the Danube, is a true architectural gem and a place of great historical significance. During a guided tour, you will learn more about the history of the abbey, which played an important role in medieval and early modern Europe. After visiting Melk Abbey, our comfortable coach will bring you back to Vienna.

Return home

Time to say goodbye to Vienna. After breakfast, your private transfer will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport.
