Access between Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park and Sandos Playacar—as well as the use of day passes between the two properties—has officially been discontinued. This decision is part of an operational update designed to enhance the guest experience by focusing all resources on delivering more personalized service within each individual resort.
- New late night dining option. While room service will be discontinued, Chayita will now remain open until 2:00 a.m. This extended service provides guests with a convenient and enjoyable dining option well into the late evening and overnight hours—whether they’re returning from an evening out, enjoying the resort disco, or simply looking for a late-night bite.
- The Teens Club has been transformed into a vibrant and welcoming destination where guests can relax, enjoy refreshing beverages and cocktails, and catch all the action from their favorite sports. The Lite Sports Bar features a large-screen viewing experience, along with multiple televisions throughout the space, making it the perfect place to unwind, socialize, and enjoy the game with friends and fellow guests.
- The Teens Club at Sandos Playacar has moved to a new and more convenient location, while continuing to offer all of the same services, activities, and video games that teen guests know and enjoy. The new Teens Club is now located closer to the Kids Club, making it easier and more convenient for parents to check in on their children without having to walk long distances around the resort. This thoughtful relocation allows Sandos Playacar to maintain the experiences their younger guests love while creating an even more family-friendly and convenient environment for everyone.
During the next two months, Sandos Playacar will be taking advantage of lower occupancy to carry out internal improvements and enhanced deep-cleaning initiatives in select areas of the resort.
The following services and areas are temporarily unavailable with expected reopening on November 1, 2026.

This pool is expected to be fully operational again by October 1, 2026.
