Chances are you’ve stumbled on snapshots of Santorini’s sunsets. If not, picture this: blue-domed, whitewashed houses hovering over volcanic cliffs, the sun dipping into the horizon above cerulean waters, painting the sky in vivid shades. Sweeping stairways lead from clustered villages to black-pebble beaches, or sandy enclaves encircled by rocky bluffs. Santorini serves up postcard perfection.

Fun fact
Santorini was home to one of the largest volcanic eruptions ever recorded, the Minoan eruption of the 2nd millennium B.C.
