Fun fact
Los Cabos now boasts a reputation as a jet-set vacation spot, but it once lured more questionable characters to its shores. Back in the 16th century, the area was a popular hideout for English pirates looking to loot Spanish merchant ships. This led to the King of Spain building the first fort on the coast, spurring development of the region.
