Fun Fact

Scenic Waipio Valley is more than just a place of unspeakable beauty—it’s also considered sacred in Hawaiian history. This is the childhood home of King Kamehameha I, the royal leader responsible for uniting the Hawaiian Islands into one kingdom in 1810. A Kamehameha Statue stands in his nearby birthplace of Kapaau.
