Fun fact
Whistler has had a long run-in with the Olympic Winter Games. Though it didn’t make the cut back in 1968 and 1976, the town finally won the bid in 2010 to host most of its Nordic combined competitions, Olympic and Paralympic Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and more. It also houses the Olympic Athletes’ Village.
