700 islands, thousands of deserted cays and a whole lot of beaches—this is the archipelago of The Bahamas, just off the Florida Keys, bound by the warming waves of the Atlantic Ocean. This is where Columbus allegedly landed, his first vision of the New World: swinging palm trees, teal-tinged waters harbouring candy-coloured coral and shores of every shade. You really have to see it to believe it.
