This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company! To commemorate the special occasion, Disneyland Resort is introducing new experiences, entertainment and more throughout 2023. Read on to learn about some of the exciting celebrations taking place at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse star in their very first ride-through attraction at the Disneyland Resort! Step inside the El CapiTOON Theater and into the unpredictable cartoon world of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, where you’ll board Goofy’s train and embark on a zany adventure.

World of Color – ONE

This all-new nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park celebrates Walt Disney’s storytelling legacy, illustrating how a single drop of water can ripple into a wave of change. World of Color – ONE is also the first nighttime spectacular to feature characters, music and moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers and Star Wars in the same production.

Wondrous Journeys

Each evening at Disneyland Park, Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, the façade of “It’s a Small World” and the Rivers of America transform into an artist’s canvas with lighting effects, customized projections and more! This nighttime spectacular takes you along an epic adventure spanning 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios storytelling. Plus, on select nights, you’ll be able to enjoy the gorgeous sight of sparkling fireworks.

Platinum-Infused Décor and Limited-Time Offerings

To mark this momentous occasion, the theme parks, Downtown Disney District, and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will be adorned in gorgeous, platinum décor. All around, you’ll find platinum statues and medallions for your own photo-op! For the first time, Sleeping Beauty Castle will be dressed in platinum banners and a shining wishing star, as well as two new fountains. Along Main Street, U.S.A., you can find Mickey, Minnie and friends in platinum outfits reflecting the creative heart of Disney.

The Disney Gallery Presents: Disney 100 Years of Wonder

From out of the archives a new exhibit emerges! Starting this year, the Disney Gallery will house artwork created by original Disney animators for some of Disney’s earliest films, alongside Imagineer concept art for the recreation of those stories in the park. There’s no better way to get a behind-the-scenes look at all the rich traditions, stories and experiences that make up Disney!

“Magic Happens” Parade

An old friend returns this year! After three years, the “Magic Happens” parade made its highly anticipated return to Disneyland Park on February 26. Led by Mickey Mouse and his pals, the daytime spectacular celebrates moments of magic from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films with grand floats, artistic costumes and an energetic musical score.

Mickey’s Toontown – Open now!

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is joined by additional new experiences and returning favourites as the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown reopened on March 8, 2023! The beloved land features more play activities and attractions than ever before, as well as grassy play spaces for you and your loved ones to unwind.
